PRESS RELEASE: The service company Arvato has appointed Thomas Mackenbrock as Chief Strategy Officer, expanding its executive management team. From January 1, 2017, Mackenbrock will be responsible for areas including strategy, digital transformation and internationalization.
Arvato CEO Fernando Carro explained the reasoning behind Mackenbrock’s appointment: “Arvato is growing and has the potential for further growth in the future. I am delighted that Thomas Mackenbrock – an experienced, international manager – is joining us to work on the further strategic development of Arvato.”
Thomas Mackenbrock first came to Bertelsmann in 2006. Since then, he has worked successfully for the company in several divisions, roles, and countries: in Corporate Development in Gütersloh, as Managing Director of Bertelsmann Brazil, and currently on the management team of the music company BMG.
Fernando Carro continued, “Thomas Mackenbrock’s role is very important as we are in the process of implementing our strategy. Arvato is building on our broad BPS solutions portfolio, powerful operations, and strong industry expertise. For us, this is the basis of our growth path ahead. We focus on scalable operations, cutting-edge solutions and strong client relationships as we aim to become our client’s most reliable solution partner.”
In future, the executive management team of this Bertelsmann division will comprise three managers: Arvato CEO Fernando Carro (who is also a member of the Bertelsmann Executive Board), CFO Rolf Hellermann, and the new Chief Strategy Officer, Thomas Mackenbrock. Arvato’s top management also includes Andreas Krohn (Arvato CRM Solutions), Frank Schirrmeister (Arvato SCM Solutions), Frank Kebsch (Arvato Financial Solutions), and Matthias Moeller (Arvato Systems).
