Kofax Intelligent Automation Deployment at Davies Turner Wins Ventana Award for Overall Digital Leadership

Kofax®, a leading supplier of intelligent automation (IA) software to digitally transform end-to-end business processes announced its customer Davies Turner, one of the UK’s leading multimodal freight forwarding and logistics companies, won the 2018 Overall Digital Leadership Award from Ventana Research for its successful implementation of Kofax Intelligent Automation.

Kofax customers Pinnacol Assurance and PITT-OHIO were also recognized.

“Davies Turner’s commitment to automation was ambitious but the perfect match for Kofax Intelligent Automation,” said Reynolds C. Bish, Chief Executive Officer of Kofax. “This award is a great illustration of how Kofax enables increased productivity to help organizations remain on track for profitable growth and significant competitive advantage—even in industries that face immense data management challenges and razor thin profit margins.”

Touted as “next-generation robotic process automation (RPA),” Intelligent Automation encompasses a much broader range of smart technologies including RPA, cognitive document automation (CDA), machine learning, workflow orchestration, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive significant business value.

Davies Turner’s award-winning Kofax IA deployment automated inventory and order tracking to give customers on-demand insight into the status of stock and shipments. This enabled the operational and logistics teams to work more productively, empowering the organization to grow business volume without increasing headcount. The team effort was led by Julie Hollis, IT Solutions Manager at Davies Turner, and has resulted in much faster and more responsive service to its customers.

“As a customer-focused organization, Davies Turner is committed to leveraging digital technology to transform how we deliver value to our clients. Kofax has empowered our operations teams to build automated processes that enable improved accuracy and faster response times to meet and even beat clients’ requirements,” said Hollis. “This project has been a real team effort, and we view this Ventana Award as confirmation of our company’s commitment to exceed customer expectations.”

Kofax customer Pinnacol Assurance, a leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance to Colorado employers, also won a Ventana Digital Leadership Award for exemplifying leadership in Big Data and related technologies to support data and information management related needs. Buddha Logic, a Kofax partner, facilitated Pinnacol’s deployment of the Kofax IA solution.

PITT-OHIO, a premier transportation provider and Kofax customer was recognized as a finalist in the Operations & Supply Chain category. Committed to providing superior service to its customers, PITT-OHIO leveraged Kofax IA with a dual emphasis on continuous improvement and technological innovation. The company has since automated 100% of its routine customer service activities.

“I would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals that submitted for the 2018 Ventana Research Digital Leadership Awards; the submissions were highly competitive and exceptional this year,” said Mark Smith, CEO and Chief Research Officer at Ventana Research. “The level of digital leadership in technology continues to grow dramatically, making the challenge to select the winner in each category greater every year. Congratulations to this year’s winners for their dedication to improving people, processes, information, and technology; they are not only improving their organizations, but advancing industry and pioneering change.”

The Ventana Research Digital Leadership Awards, presented annually, is a prestigious leadership awards program, backed by a proven industry analyst firm with market research and expertise across business and IT. The awards recognize individuals and companies that have utilized and championed improvements across their people, processes, information, and technology to grow their business and industry potential. As part of the scoring process and methodology, the Ventana Research team examined case studies and submissions to evaluate each nominated organization’s use of people, processes, information and technology, the best practices it developed, the degree of team involvement and the project’s business impact and value.
