PRESS RELEASE: Hinduja Global Solutions Limited (HGS), have been chosen as UK Employer of the Year by SMART Training and Recruitment, one of UK’s leading training providers for Apprenticeship and Workplace Learning programs. HGS won the title for its continued focus on employee development, delivering outstanding performance in the following areas:

The recognition comes in the wake of the hugely successful Apprenticeship program implemented for HGS staff at its Preston centre in Lancashire, UK. The program now being rolled across all of HGS’s UK offices, allow contact centre staff to work towards a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Contact Centre Operations. The 12-month program combines interactive classroom learning with online modules and imparts critical training in soft skills, functional skills in Math and English as well as awareness of Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
A significant development has been integrating the Apprenticeship scheme with HGS’s training and employee development strategy – offering all new recruits the opportunity to pursue this scheme. Since its inception 2 years ago, over 115 HGS employees have undertaken a range of qualifications and achieved certifications under this program. “And they will continue to reap the benefits of this certification throughout their career in customer service,” concluded Les.

HGS recently instituted a new set of Level 2 Qualifications targeted at Contact Centre Team Leaders. Additionally, graduates of the Apprentice program can now work towards advanced Level 3 Qualifications, further broadening their career prospects in the customer service industry.
