PRESS RELEASE: Ember Services, has appointed a senior finance professional to oversee finance and support functions across its growing group of businesses. Steve Tinkler joins Ember from the international transport consultancy Steer Davies Gleave, where he spent three years strengthening the financial structures of an international business with operations in 11 countries and four continents. In addition to managing the consultancy’s global finance team, Steve advised the Executive Board on strategic growth issues and sat on the Board of its North American subsidiaries.
He previously spent nine years with the worldwide accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO. He joined the company’s fast track management programme in 2008, successfully completing a series of placements in different business streams including Corporate Restructuring and secondments in the company’s Manhattan and Sydney offices. In 2009, he became a Corporate Finance Manager in the London office, working with corporates, public entities and PE houses to raise finance, secure acquisitions and sell or restructure businesses.

Working with organisations across the private and public sector, Ember is frequently involved in transformational customer management initiatives and relied upon to support the substantial contracting, procurement and business restructuring these initiatives inevitably require. Steve will add depth to our financial consultancy team.”
In recent years Ember has grown its group of companies to include, alongside its long- established customer management consultancy, Ember PSS specialising in public sector transformation initiatives and the customer management executive recruitment specialist Mottram Search. The group now has a total turnover of close to £5 million and plans further growth and diversification. Its clients include leading players across the public and private sector including Birmingham City Council, BBC, British Airways, NFU Mutual, Three, Vodafone, John Lewis, Virgin Atlantic and Marks & Spencer.
