PRESS RELEASE: Teleperformance announced that its operation in the United Kingdom has been awarded a new contract by the Student Loans Company. Through delivery of a national contact centre service it will support students and graduates seeking information, advice and guidance on financial support and funding available to pursue higher education courses (as well as advice and support on repayment of student loans).
The new agreement is for a period of 3 years and will be delivered from within existing Teleperformance locations at Gateshead, Bangor (Northern Ireland) and Glasgow, and will secure up to 80 jobs, whilst offering further employment opportunities throughout the year.
The contract has been awarded as part of a competitive re-tender exercise procured under the Cabinet Offices Crown Commercial Services Framework (RM988), Contact Centre Services for Direct Response Marketing and Related Services.
Teleperformance has a long history of working in partnership with the Student Loans Company, and has delivered the contact centre service since 2010. Teleperformance’s success in delivering this service was reflected by the National outsourcing Association who awarded Teleperformance and SLC the Shared Service Centre of the Year award in 2012.
