Clarabridge Announces the Appointment of Yuchun Lee as CEO

Clarabridge announced that Yuchun Lee, Clarabridge board member for over two years, has transitioned into the role of Chief Executive Officer. In this position, Lee will focus on the company’s day-to-day management and operations, continual strategic growth, as well as leadership of the executive team. As part of the transition, Clarabridge founder Sid Banerjee assumes the role of Executive Chairman, where he continues to provide company vision and direction, manage executive relationships with key current and prospective customers and oversee customer success.

Clarabridge continues to drive the maturity of CEM programs worldwide by helping best-in-class businesses put customer feedback to work with sophisticated text analytics. With the 2015 launch of CX Studio, Clarabridge’s new dashboard tool, CEM teams are empowered to broadly share customer experience insights and act on feedback in real-time across the enterprise. Clarabridge has continued to enhance its technology portfolio both organically and through acquisition, bringing a world-class social customer care and social engagement capability into the suite with the acquisition of Engagor earlier in 2015. These achievements have helped drive strong global performance, yielding over 100% growth in new international software sales. New clients include AirBnB, Lyft, Royal Bank of Scotland and Porsche.

Lee is a seasoned business executive with a proven track record leading and taking companies public. Working with Summit Partners and General Catalyst, he led the investment of over $80M in funding for Clarabridge in 2013. Previously, he was the founder and CEO of Unica, a company that went public in 2005. When Unica was acquired by IBM in 2010, Lee served as the Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Marketing Management, overseeing IBM’s end-to-end products for CMOs globally.

“Given our positive growth outlook for Clarabridge in the coming years and his deep understanding of our business, Yuchun is the natural choice to step into the CEO role to help scale the business to the next level,” said Sid Banerjee, Clarabridge’s executive chairman. “I’m confident that he will be able to capitalize on the momentum we’ve built over the past three years. I look forward to a continued partnership with a seasoned executive who has a proven track record of successful outcomes.”

“Clarabridge is poised for a bright future , and I’m thrilled to be working more closely with Sid and this talented team in building a world class CEM company,” said Yuchun Lee, CEO. “Some of the biggest and best businesses in the world rely on Clarabridge to help them achieve success in turning customer feedback into better customer experiences. The CEM market is surging, and I strongly believe Clarabridge is uniquely positioned to become the global category leader in this important market.”
