Walmart Canada Calls on Toshiba for Helpdesk Support Services

PRESS RELEASE: Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, the global market share leader in installed retail point of sale (POS) technology, announced that Walmart Canada, one of Canada’s leading retailers since 1994, has selected Toshiba TCxTMCare to manage and be the single point of contact for all IT helpdesk call center services, for Toshiba point of sale hardware and all other OEM retail store equipment.

Walmart Canada is passionate about providing the best technology experience for their customers and their store associates. Recognizing Walmart Canada’s expansive investment in technology, experts from Toshiba will lead and manage responses to all IT helpdesk requests, including general set up, quality assurance, IT diagnostic information, and support for retail system maintenance. Toshiba will provide maintenance for its SurePOS 700TM, Self Checkout System 6, SureMarkTM printers and other hardware, and OEM peripherals from other Walmart Canada vendors, including in-house scanners, pin pads, battery back-up devices, printers and displays. Toshiba will also provide strategic value by managing replacement stock in support of the store’s equipment needs.
