Attitude Hotels Combines Sunshine and the Cloud with Infor

Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, announced that the Mauritian Group of Hotels Attitude, has deployed Infor CloudSuite Hospitality and Infor SunSystems as part of a program to standardize operations and improve customer experience.

Implemented by Infor partner OBI Ltd. and deployed via a private cloud across nine properties that span boutique and resort hotels, Infor CloudSuite Hospitality has helped harmonize operations and reporting across the Group. By moving to the cloud, Attitude has not only reduced the time and cost of operations but also improved access to customer and property data with the business intelligence capabilities within Infor SunSystems.

By standardizing on Infor CloudSuite Hospitality, Attitude has accelerated a wide range of business processes, ranging from check in procedures using mobile technology, to daily data back-ups.

Infor was chosen on the basis of superior service throughout Mauritius and the fact that the software presented a much-reduced demand on the technological infrastructure throughout the hotels.

“We have a range of very individual hotels but this meant that we also had a range of very different working practices,” said Sanjay Ramlochund, Group IT Manager, Attitude Hotels. “Each property had its own server with duplicated software and processes, as well as a lack of standards across the Group. By moving to a centrally managed cloud system, we have standardized operations which improved productivity, reduced the cost of operation and built a database that can be explored for new business as we leverage business intelligence.”

“Standardizing operations whilst opening up data for business intelligence exploration is a fast track to dramatically improving the customer experience,” said Wolfgang Emperger, vice president, Infor Hospitality, EMEA. “Not only are operations improved and costs reduced, but most importantly, operators such as Attitude can start to look at the data that has been hidden away in systems for years. This is data directly related to the customer experience and reveals vital new insights for developing new offerings that will help drive growth.”

“Tourism in Mauritius continues to grow, increasing revenue into the country and employment,” said Pascal Carle Tellechea, director, OBI Ltd. “At the same time, competition among the leading hotel and resort brands is increasing, so investments in technology that improve the customer experience and decrease the cost of operations are vital for those operators looking to grow.”
