AVST Facilitates the Transition to Cloud UC for Enterprises Worldwide

Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) – recently acquired by XMedius – announced the next major release of its popular CX-E Unified Communications platform. The new version, CX-E 9, features expanded scalability, multi-tenancy and support for Microsoft’s Encryption File System (EFS) for end-to-end secure messaging.

CX-E 9 offers key features ideally suited for diverse organizations and partners pivoting to the cloud. CX-E’s scalability is unmatched in the industry, supporting up to 5 million messages stored and 60,000 users. As cloud adoption continues to accelerate within medium and large enterprises, AVST is pleased to offer multi-tenant capability. This speeds up the service provider’s ability to accommodate new customers more quickly and economically, all while maintaining their privacy.

“AVST remains steadfast in its commitment to provide the most interoperable and resilient UC platform in the market,” said Tom Minifie, AVST General Manager. “With the largest airlines, universities and hospitals relying on CX-E, it is imperative that we offer a feature-rich UC platform that works reliably in the most rigorous of conditions. If there is one thing an IT department can count on, it is change. AVST has always delivered reliable products that help manage through technological change. CX-E 9 continues on this path by bringing together the best enterprise-class UC features that future-proof IT investments.”

In addition to scalability and multi-tenancy enhancements, CX-E 9 also includes end-to-end secure messaging, where messages are secured throughout storage, transport and endpoint. This latest release supports EFS, which enables CX-E-stored messages to be transparently encrypted to protect confidential data from attackers with physical access to the computer.

Highlighted features of CX-E 9 include:

  • Expanded Scalability
  • Multi-tenancy
  • Encrypted Stored Messages
  • Support for Microsoft Exchange UM/Office 365 Forms
  • Virtualization using Microsoft Hyper-V 2016
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Compatibility
  • MWI for Google Gmail
  • Text Notification in NotifyXpress®
  • Call Recording in TeamQ®

Jim Burton, Founder and CEO of CT Link said, “Probably the biggest success of CX-E that enterprises find so attractive is its flexibility. It can be deployed on premise or in the cloud. It can also integrate with all telephony and email systems, premise to cloud, from any UC vendor – Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, Google, and more. Any model, any deployment, any way you want it. That’s CX E.”

With over 35 years in the UC space and more than 70 percent of its customer base consisting of medium to large enterprises, AVST has built a reputation as the industry’s most interoperable enterprise-class UC platform.
