babble launches new specialist contact centre business unit and appoints Mark Jordan as managing director

babble, one of the UK’s leading providers of cloud-based communications technology, has recently appointed Mark Jordan as managing director of its new specialist business unit, babble contact.

babble contact is the largest reseller of cloud-based contact centre solutions in the UK and has recently announced a major focus on the travel industry. The company works for a range of businesses including Secret Escapes, Park Plaza Hotels, EDF Energy, National Geographic and Robert Dyas. The new babble contact business unit is part of a significant programme of investment to achieve babble’s ambition of becoming the technology partner of choice for contact centre services.

babble’s chief executive, Matthew Parker, announced the new structure and said: “Contact centres are at the forefront of technology changes which, selected wisely can really create a competitor-beating customer experience. We’ve already achieved a UK leadership position somewhat under the radar. For example recent projects we’ve worked on have included improving the customer experience at a European hotel chain, building scalable home-worker capabilities at a travel company, integrating the increasingly complex technologies in a UK-based insurer, and bringing a large outsourced contact centre back internally. I am very confident that under Mark’s direction we will be recognised as a contact centre partner of choice for the travel industry.”

Mark Jordan has been at babble for more than 14 years and has a successful track record of working with UK contact centres to support their growth and transformation agendas.

“I see many contact centres leaders who feel like they are in the eye of the storm,” he said. “They’ve got increasingly demanding customers, requirements for more complex technology, data security risks and a flood of technology vendors all claiming that they are all the solution to their problems. I think it’s fair to say it’s exhausting and stressful for contact centre leaders to pick their way through this storm. Our job at babble contact is to sort through the claims of the different technologies available and to identify and deliver the right fully integrated solution and then continue to advise them on the latest and best practice as their operation evolves and grows. It’s a sector that is radically transforming and I’m excited to be part of that transformation.”

Under Mark’s leadership, babble contact will continue to build on its privileged formula of offering solutions from the world’s leading cloud contact centre providers, including Five9 (a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant), 8×8, Broadsoft, Callstream and a host of other agile cloud-based technologies that help improve customer experience and drive contact centre productivity.

babble contact supports a wide range of different style and size of contact centre operations, from ‘informal’ 10 seat contact centres through to enterprise contact centres of 250+ seats. The ability to scale seamlessly and cost-effectively to react to market changes and new channels are some of the main advantages of a cloud-based contact centre.
