Voiceflex Limited, a leading UK SIP and hosted telephony carrier is delighted to announce the launch of SoGEA Voice, a direct replacement for voice services delivered over PSTN.
SoGEA Voice is a platform built from the ground up to deliver the requirements of a single line user’s basic needs such as making and receiving a call, through to call recording, messages delivered to Facebook, WhatsApp or mobile, whichever is your customer’s preference.
Using SoGEA’s API Internet Service Provider’s (ISP’s), Integrators to OEMs can deliver this offering allowing simple automation of ordering, number porting/provisioning, and configuration. Voiceflex also has a stand-alone portal to enable channel partners to order the service irrespective of the Service Provider.
SoGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access and is a new approach to connect to the internet and delivers a single order version of Fibre broadband without the need to have a traditional copper phone line. A range of data products will be available throughout the UK, exchanges are being upgraded with many available now. There are 28 million data services with a PSTN line that will need to be replaced with SoGEA by 2025. A billion pounds a year industry and the beauty is all 28 million circuits will have to be changed within the next four years.
With any leap in technology, there are always problems bridging the requirements or expectations of users and making them a reality. A key benefit of SoGEA is there is no PSTN and making broadband available without line rental but the major disadvantage of SoGEA is no PSTN thus no voice. A percentage of users only use the telephone line to enable them to have a data connection and have no requirement for voice, yet a large proportion will require a voice service.
