Cogito Expands Leadership Team

Cogito, the leader in real-time emotional intelligence solutions, announced it added new members to its executive leadership team, including vice presidents of client development, strategic clients, product management, and people and culture.

As market demands require continuous innovation in the call center, these new appointments ensure Cogito delivers an enterprise grade solution with a world-class user experience to its growing user base.

New additions to the Cogito leadership team include:

Kate Gingras, VP of Strategic Clients

Kate is a recognized technology industry thought leader responsible for delivering business value to ensure Cogito’s clients choose to expand their relationship across multiple lines of business. Prior to joining Cogito, Kate was a Vice President at Appian, where she built out a multi-million dollar global insurance practice and was responsible for securing and managing strategic client relationships. Kate played a pivotal role in growing Appian from a niche technology provider to an industry leader that experienced a successful IPO. Kate also held leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Chordiant Software and Pegasystems.

Martin Pitkow, VP of Client Development

Martin is responsible for building and leading Cogito’s global client development function. His team is accountable for securing the world’s leading financial services, healthcare and telecommunications enterprises as clients. Martin is an experienced leader of rapidly growing technology companies, including at SuccessFactors, where he managed numerous sales functions and helped build the company from its humble beginnings into the category leader in enterprise human resource software, deployed to over thirty million users. Under Martin’s sales leadership, SuccessFactors was acquired by SAP in a multi-billion dollar transaction. Post-acquisition, Martin held a number of key executive positions within SAP, driving sales and growth initiatives.

Paul Russell, VP of Product Management and Design

Paul leads the process of evolving Cogito’s product strategy and creating differentiated solutions that meet clients’ current and future needs. He is responsible for ensuring compelling functionality, high performance and exceptional product quality. Paul has extensive experience delivering cloud solutions to the world’s largest enterprises. Prior to joining Cogito, he was VP of Product Management at Imprivata. Paul also held leadership roles in Engineering and Product Management at Cisco systems, focusing on Contact Center Solutions and Collaboration Platforms.

Lauren Tropeano, VP of People and Culture

Lauren is responsible for the development and oversight of people practices and culture that support employee and organizational success at Cogito. She has several years of expertise leading large, diverse teams and managing people-related initiatives for growing companies across the technology sector. Previously, Lauren worked as a human resources executive for Pivotal and, before that, for EMC (now Dell Technologies), where she held a variety of Human Resources roles.
