Communications specialists Connect are pleased to announce the appointment of Glen Robinson as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Glen, who has worked in established global organisations and more recently a VC-backed pre-profit business, joined in January 2023.
Glen’s IT career began over 20 years ago when he left his job as a flyfishing instructor to retrain as an engineer – securing his first Cisco accreditation within six weeks.
He rose swiftly through the ranks at Dimension Data, taking on leadership roles in Solutions, Professional Services and Managed Services. His final role at Dimension Data was as Service Director for Europe, where he was responsible for the P&L of Dimension Data’s s European Service business. He oversaw major organisational transformation, whilst delivering growth in the Services business and maintaining direct contact with key clients.
Thereafter Glen intentionally sought accountability for execution across the full quote to cash lifecycle, through a move to Sigfox, a disruptive IOT low power global service provider, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, transforming global Sales & Marketing, growing the company’s market share, securing alliances with major eco-system partners and nurturing key strategic clients.
This comprehensive experience makes Glen an excellent fit for Connect, as the company continues to grow its Services and Solutions businesses while evolving its operations to take advantage of global opportunities.
