Medallia, the global leader in experience management, announced the appointment of Shankar Balakrishnan to the role of Area VP, UK & Ireland, Middle East and Africa. In taking on the role, Balakrishnan will leverage his extensive knowledge of the experience management space to help companies in these regions revitalise their employee and customer engagement strategies, drive growth and reduce churn.
A seasoned business leader with more than a decade of experience in the customer experience space, Balakrishnan has a strong track record in working with clients to deliver effective corporate strategy programmes and large-scale business transformations.
As one of the earliest members of the Medallia EMEA team, he possesses diverse and first-hand knowledge of some of the most important aspects of the organisation, having been responsible for growing the professional services team in Europe, as well as establishing and successfully expanding the account management function for Europe. Prior to joining Medallia in 2014, he spent six years as a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group and Capgemini.
